Stan has been drawing since he was able to hold something that he could leave a mark with!  He has always loved superheroes and started reading comics in the late 80’s.

He dreamed of drawing comics one day, and that day came a few months ago when Matt Kelly approached him with this project.

Stan hopes that Annabelle Avery is just the beginning to his future in comics.

Stan is also a performing artist, and has been involved with local theatre and a touring performing arts company called All Access, singing, dancing and acting.

Nick Sica

Nick Sica

The son of a Neapolitan auto mechanic and a Sicilian painter, Nick Sica’s heritage predetermined his career in the graphic arts field. Surrounded by talented artists in his youth, his competitive nature drove him to sketch constantly, and the doodles in the margins of his notebooks often spilled over and overshadowed his notes. Influenced by the cartoons and comic books of the ’80s and ’90s, Nick majored in Graphic Design at St. John’s University in the hopes of becoming a professional illustrator.

Nick ultimately found his niche as an Art Director, focusing his digital skills in publishing and direct mail. He has designed innumerable books, catalogs and advertisements, and at one point was fortunate to direct dozens of well-known illustrators in the creation of science fiction and fantasy book jackets. When not racing deadlines, going on photography excursions, or playing Baritone Horn with various bands, Nick still likes to pick up a pencil and return to his first love of sketching, which can be frustrating or rewarding depending on the results. Steampunk Girl fell in to the latter category, and he was honored to be a part of it.
